Customer loyalty schemes in Benson

The local independent shops have introduced a ”Benson Bonus” scheme that rewards those who shop in the village. The rewards come in many different ways and in lots of different shops. Save money on your shopping, take advantage of exclusive offers, collecting points for discounts and freebies are just some of the rewards that your shops will be offering those of you with the Benson Bonus card. Offers will change so always ask in the shops that you visit. The cards will be given out in the local shops, so watch out for posters around the village. The more you shop in Benson, the more you’ll benefit. Benson Bonus is the village shops way of thanking you, our regular customers, for your support. You don’t have to live in Benson to get a Benson Bonus card, it’s for all customers. You can also join your local shops on Facebook to see what we do and what’s new, to find out about offers and see how you can save. Participating shops at the moment are: Benson Village Butcher, Chapel Lane Hair and Beauty, Chiltern Produce, Classic Hair & Beauty, Derry’s Den and Revival. The Benson Plaice offer their own loyalty card scheme.

Of course you can get rewards from the bigger (chain) shops in Benson too. The Cooperative Stores have lots of special offers and a membership scheme that offers discount vouchers for those shopping regularly. Lloyds Pharmacy always has a great number of special off deals for customers. Larkmead Vets have schemes rewarding customers for pet insurance and certain regularly used products such as tick and flea treatment.

We are very lucky in Benson to have such a good range of shops and services. Modern life is often all about convenience and technology. It’s always been hard for small businesses to survive and that still proves to be the case. The village shops are all embracing technology (web, Facebook, Twitter etc) and trying to offer the community good reasons to shop locally rather than going to superstores, online or shopping centres. By shopping locally you will not only get good deals and a good choice, but will help to ensure that there will be a shopping centre for many more years. And, of course, by regularly visiting the village centre you’ll get to know about what’s on, what’s happening, get involved and make lots of friends. Surely that’s what living in a village is all about!
