Location: Benson Parish Hall

We’re celebrating what a great place Benson is to live as part of the Million Acts Of Hope Campaign – a national campaign backed by charities and community groups to inspire people to come together and celebrate the positive in life. Come along to the Parish Hall to find out about all the organisations and groups in Benson.

Plus we’ll hold the equivalent of the Parish AGM in the way of a stall with everything you need to know about what we’ve done this year and our current projects.  Parish, County and District Councillors will be available to chat to.

Activities and sessions confirmed for the day

•   10:30 – Nature Walk‘Take a walk on the wild side.’ A guided walk round Benson’s green spaces led by Edel and the Benson Area Nature Group (BANG), lasting about 75 minutes. Meet at the BANG table in the Parish Hall at 10.20 ready for a 10:30 start.  Numbers limited to 12 and children to bring their own parent / guardian.  To book in advance (recommended), contact bensingtonsociety@gmail.com by 9 pm on Friday.  Any remaining spaces will be made available on Saturday at the Community Celebration

Tennis Courts Programme

• 10:00am – Junior Coaching
  Youngsters are welcome to come along and join in.
• 11:00am – Walking / Social Tennis
  A relaxed session for adults who would like to take part.
• 12:30pm–3:30pm – Mixed Team Match
  Visitors are welcome to stay and watch the match.

• 10:15 – Discovery Den sensory adventures  (children aged 0-4yrs)
• 10:45 – Stageworks (children aged 4-10yrs)

• 11:45 – Let’s Act (children aged 3-6 yrs)
• 12:15 – Slimming World
• 12:45 – Matt Fiddes Martial Arts (children aged 3+ yrs and adults) 
• 13:15 – Bingo (TBC)

Taster sessions can be pre‑booked (recommended) directly with the individual groups (please look them up on social media).  You can also book via email to bensingtonsociety@gmail.com by 9 pm Friday evening or you may be able to sign up on the day if spaces are still available. All children should be accompanied by a parent/guardian..

Cakes will be for sale in the Parish Hall Lounge (courtesy of the Guides) plus complimentary tea coffee and biscuits available throughout the day.
